The Penn State College of Medicine's Multicultural Awareness Club (MAC) would like to invite you to join us for the 2020 MAC Gala!
The night will be filled with fellowship, food, and entertainment from the most talented and energetic members of our campus! Dress code is formal attire so come out in your best!
All proceeds from this event will benefit the Penn State College of Medicine Refugee Initiative in an effort to contribute to our local Harrisburg community. The Penn State College of Medicine Refugee Initiative partners with a local farmers’ market to provide recently resettled Syrian refugees in the Greater Harrisburg area with sustainable sources of nutritious fruits and vegetables as well as informal English training. Over the past two years, the organization has developed close relationships with ten refugee families (approximately 70 individuals) as we pursue the goal of helping the families thrive in their new home by driving them to the market for fresh produce and tutoring the children in English each week.
Tickets are available for Students and Community members, and Penn State Health/Penn State College of Medicine (PSH/PSCOM) Employees (includes Physicians, faculty, staff, etc.). If you are not able to attend but would still like to support, there is a "Donate to the Penn State College of Medicine Refugee Initiative " option as well.
Cash payments will be accepted for tickets but you must contact the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at PSH/PSCOM to arrange for collection. All check should be written to Penn State College of Medcine with the Memo Line as " MAC Gala 2020".
